Privacy policy

How First Motion handles information on your iPhone and when you use the optional AI path.

Policy details

This policy describes First Motion (the app) and the information flows that matter to your privacy. If you have questions, contact us at info@qaimos.co.uk.

Who we are

First Motion is published by Qaimos. You can reach us at info@qaimos.co.uk.

What First Motion does not do

  • First Motion does not require you to create an account to use the app.
  • First Motion does not include third-party advertising or behavioural analytics SDKs in the app.
  • First Motion does not show streaks, scores, or productivity leaderboards.
  • In version 1, First Motion does not persist your task history on the device between app launches as part of the product design.

Information on your device

Text you type, and optional voice dictation handled through Apple’s speech APIs, stay on your iPhone while you are composing input. Apple’s own handling of speech, keyboard, and accessibility data is governed by Apple and your device settings.

When you use the AI feature

If you continue into a session, the app sends the conversation for that session (for example your task description, clarifying answers, and short status messages such as “step complete” or “I’m stuck”) over encrypted HTTPS to a server operated by Qaimos (for example qaimos.co.uk) which forwards the request to an upstream AI provider so a response can be returned to your phone.

API credentials for the upstream provider are intended to stay on the server side for the default deployment, not embedded in the public app binary. Depending on server configuration, an additional shared secret header may be required; that value would be supplied only in private builds or managed distribution, not published here.

Qaimos and any upstream provider may process transient request data according to their own infrastructure and retention practices. First Motion’s product goal for v1 is not to build a cloud archive of your personal task diary inside the app experience.

Microphone and speech recognition

First Motion requests microphone and speech recognition access only so you can dictate your task while you hold the voice control. Audio is used in line with Apple’s speech APIs; refer to Apple’s privacy documentation for how audio may be processed when you use dictation.

Inactivity handling

Optional in-session prompts are generated while the app is open. First Motion does not use them to schedule push notifications in v1.

Children

First Motion is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Apple and TestFlight

Apple may collect analytics or crash data through the App Store, TestFlight, or iOS according to your device and programme settings. That collection is described by Apple, not by this policy alone.

Changes

We may update this policy when First Motion or its infrastructure changes. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do.
