Mind the Aisle

Privacy policy

This policy explains what data is handled when you use Mind the Aisle (the iOS and Android apps, the browser version at qaimos.co.uk/mindtheaisle/play/, and this website). The controller is Qaimos LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom. Contact: info@qaimos.co.uk.

No accounts

There is no sign-up, login or account. We do not ask for your name, email, contacts or location. Your progress (levels, stars, stamps, streak and settings) is stored only on your device. Deleting the app, or clearing the site data in your browser, removes it.

Device clock

The game reads your device's local time and date to choose the shop, the crowd and the time of day. This is done on the device and is never sent to us.

Advertising in the apps (Google AdMob)

The free iOS and Android apps show ads served by Google AdMob (banner ads, ads between visits, and optional rewarded videos). To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address, approximate location derived from IP, and ad interaction data. In the UK, EEA and Switzerland we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown; you can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy choices in the app. If you do not consent, Google may still show non-personalised ads. On iOS we do not use the App Tracking Transparency prompt and do not track you across other companies' apps. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

The browser version of the game has no ads.

Remove Ads purchase

The one-time Remove Ads purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details. The store tells the app only that the purchase is valid, so that it can switch off banners and between-visit ads; this is recorded on your device.

Website analytics (Google Analytics 4)

This website and the browser game use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are used, but only if you click Accept in the cookie bar. Until then, analytics storage stays denied (Google consent mode) and advertising storage is always denied. Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage under q_consent; you can change it with Cookie settings in the footer. Google Analytics data is processed by Google on our behalf and retained according to our GA4 settings (no longer than 14 months).

Children

Mind the Aisle is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will help remove it.

Legal basis, transfers and your rights

We rely on your consent (personalised ads, analytics) and our legitimate interest in running and improving the game (non-personalised ads, crash-free operation). Google may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. Under UK GDPR you can ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.

Terms and conditions

By downloading or playing Mind the Aisle you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the game.

The game

Mind the Aisle is provided free of charge, supported by ads in the apps. We may update, change or discontinue features, shops or levels at any time. Shops, people and products in the game are fictional and not affiliated with any real business.

Remove Ads

Remove Ads is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It permanently removes banner ads and the ads shown between visits on the store account used to buy it. Optional rewarded videos (for example "+15 seconds") remain available but are never required. Use Settings → Restore purchases to restore it on a new or reset device with the same Apple ID or Google account. Purchases, refunds and cancellations are handled by Apple or Google under their terms; we cannot issue refunds directly. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Fair use

Please do not reverse-engineer, modify, resell or redistribute the game or its assets, or use it for anything unlawful.

Liability

The game is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Qaimos LTD is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost progress caused by deleting the app, clearing browser data or device failure. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law. Please play safely: this is a game, not advice about real shopping trips.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Questions: info@qaimos.co.uk.

End-user licence agreement (EULA)

Qaimos LTD grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Mind the Aisle on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the store's rules.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Qaimos LTD. The licence ends automatically if you breach these terms.
