Reference for merchants and developers integrating TierBar quantity breaks.

Permissions
| Scope | Purpose |
|---|---|
| read_products | Search and display products when creating offers |
| write_products | Write tier offer metafields to products |
| write_discounts | Create and update automatic app discounts |
Discount types
| Type | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| None | Base tier with no discount (e.g. single unit) |
| Percentage off | Percentage discount on the line when tier quantity is selected |
| Fixed amount off | Fixed currency amount off the line |
| Fixed bundle price | Set a total price for the tier quantity |
Storefront layouts
Choose a layout in the admin when saving an offer, or use Auto to pick based on tier count:
- Cards — side-by-side tiles (2–4 tiers)
- Stack — full-width rows (2–5 tiers)
- Compact list — narrow columns (3–6 tiers)
- Dense grid — two-column grid (4–8 tiers)
- Pills — horizontal chips (5–10 tiers)
- Table — column comparison (4–10 tiers)
- Track — progress bar with dynamic savings message (2–4 tiers)
Data storage
- product.metafields.tierbar.offer — tier configuration for storefront display
- shop.metafields.tierbar.offers_index — list of active offers in admin
- discount.metafields.tierbar.tier_config — checkout function configuration
Offer data lives in your Shopify store. TierBar’s database stores OAuth session records only.
Limits
- Maximum 10 tiers per offer
- Configurable max quantity cap per offer
- One offer configuration per product
Admin languages
TierBar admin and theme extension schema support: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified), and Polish.
