Setup tutorial

Create your first quantity break offer and show tier cards on a product page.

Before you start

  • A Shopify store with the Online Store sales channel enabled.
  • An Online Store 2.0 theme (supports app blocks).
  • TierBar installed from the Shopify App Store or your install link.

Step 1 — Install TierBar

From Shopify Admin, open Apps and install TierBar. Approve the requested permissions (read_products, write_products, write_discounts).

Step 2 — Create an offer

  1. Open TierBar from Apps and click Create offer.
  2. Search and select one or more products.
  3. Add tiers — for example: Qty 1 (no discount), Qty 2 (10% off), Qty 3 (fixed bundle price).
  4. Choose a storefront layout (Cards, Pills, List, or Auto).
  5. Click Save offer. TierBar creates the automatic discount and syncs metafields.

Step 3 — Add the theme block

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
  2. Open a Product template.
  3. In the product information section, click Add block and choose TierBar picker.
  4. Save the theme.

Step 4 — Test on your storefront

  1. Open a product with an active offer.
  2. Select a tier — quantity should update on the add-to-cart form.
  3. Add to cart and proceed to checkout.
  4. Confirm the quantity break discount appears on the order.
